Today is the 8th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks of the twin towers.

I remember it fairly well, I was 9 and the first person in my family to hear about it. I had turned on the T.V., which I rarely did, only to find that the first tower had been hit. I went into my mom’s room to tell here when I heard on the radio that the second tower had been hit. She didn’t believe me until she saw for herself on the T.V.

I was attending a private school at the time so we spend and hour or two reflecting on it all with the school (only about 70 kids at that time, pre-5th grade).

It didn’t really affect me that much at the time, but looking back, I think it was part of what caused me to be fearful of so many things when I was younger.

Anyway, take a moment today to honor those who were killed and remember. Then, move on with your day. No need to dwell on the negative.

I’ll post something fashion-esque later today/tonight.
