Polyvore Interview With… JuicyHeartsMe!

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am born and raised in London and have a huge interest in fashion. It is a big part of my life and something I take very seriously. I love shopping and finding cute kooky stores in little unknown streets because they usually sell unique things so I know hardly anybody else will be wearing the same thing as me! I still like to follow trends of course, though.

Describe your sense of fashion.
I don’t really have a sense of fashion in particular, I love all fashion as you can look at so many different aspects of fashion in many ways which can change the way you think about it. What I wear is usually very preppy and girly, although I like indie/urban style trends as well. Jewellery wise I like to wear a lot of bling with a simple outfit or just classic items from Tiffany and Co. or Links London etc for just an understated cute look. I do like to dress differently from the crowd and not being a follower is a huge thing for me in the fashion side of things.

When did you really start to enjoy fashion/Polyvore?
I have always loved fashion. Ever since I was little I would make sure all my Barbie dolls were dressed neatly for every occasion, and I would always want to choose my own clothes when I would go out with my Mum! I loved Polyvore as soon as I joined, I love the diversity of it all and the fact that you can express yourself in so many ways.

How do you begin to create an outfit on Polyvore or in real life?
I can base an outfit on something as little as a hair clip, or a belt or even a cute necklace. Then I base the rest of my outfit around that. It’s usually the same for Polyvore except in my mosaic sets I usually get inspired by a particular picture.

Where does your inspiration come from?
Everywhere. I can be in the kitchen and the steam from the kettle will make me want to do a hazy set. Or I’ll be in the garden and the way the laurel bushes are all crowded together will make me want to do a layered set. I especially love the way designers take elements of nature and put them into clothing/fashion. I really admire that.

What are your three favourite sets that you’ve made?
I’m sorry, I can’t answer that šŸ™‚ I make such different sets from serious fashion ones to mosaics to layered sets to sets centered around a cute quote…I don’t know if it sounds like I’m bragging, but I can’t choose my favourites! [No problem! šŸ™‚ Everyone will just need to go to your profile and decide for themselves. Hehe.]

What is one of your favourite sets of mine?

Cropped Jeans (1/2)

I like the layout! [Thanks! :)]
