Beauty: elf, love & beauty Nail Polish – REVIEW

Excuse the quality of these pictures.

Note: All picture of my nails are one medium thick coat, no top or bottom coat.

So, here goes my review for three nail polishes that I have recently purchased. Read it, check out the picture, watch the video about this (below).

elf Nail Polishes- Royal Purple

(Flash) (No Flash) (Bad picture.)

Cost: $1
Where: http://eyeslipsface.com

Brush: The brush is average sized, perhaps a bit on the small side. The quality isn’t very good, but it works. If you’ve used inexpensive nail polishes before, who know the kind of brush I’m taking about.

Polish: The color is quite nice, though I wouldn’t call in a Royal Purple like the label does. To me it’s too light to be a Royal Purple, it’s more like a Petunia color. In the picture above, I am only wearing one, semi-thick layer. Another layer would be good for this polish.

Wear: I only wore this polish for 3 days before taking it off, but in those 3 days it only started to wear at the tip of my nail. Not bad.

Overall, I like it. It’s a nice color, goes on relatively well.

Would I buy it again? Probably not. For a dollar isn’t not bad, but NYC has dollar polishes that I feel work better.

love & beauty Matte Nail Polish- D Green (Teal)

(Lighting) (Bad picture.)

Cost: $2.80
Where: Forever 21.com

Brush: The brush was medium sized. I was very impressed with it, actually. It wasn’t streaky going on and I didn’t get much nail polish on my cuticles, which is quite the accomplishment for me. The handle of the brush is nice.

Polish: The color is a nice teal color. The most exciting this about this polish is that it has a matte finish. This is the first matte nail polish I have ever tried, and I love it! Though the finish of this polish is more like a stain than a matte. It tried reasonably fast to a stain finish. I put on one thick coat, so it might appear more matte if I had done two thin layers.

Wear: After 3 days, the tips started to wear a bit. I only wore it for 3 days before taking it off.

Overall, I like it. It’s a nice color, goes on well, stays on well, and drys fast. The matter effect is super fun, as well.

Would I buy it again? Definitely. I’m already thinking of buying some more colors of this same brand. And for $2.80? That’s pretty reasonable, especially for the nice quality. Perhaps even some more matter polishes.

love & beauty Nail Polish- Olive (Brass)

(Flash) (No Flash) (Bad detail)

Cost: $2.80
Where: Forever 21.com

Brush: The brush was medium sized. I was very impressed with it, actually. It wasn’t streaky going on and I didn’t get much nail polish on my cuticles, which is quite the accomplishment for me. The handle of the brush is nice.

Polish: The color is really neat. It’s like a brassy olive color. It looks like a brass color is bright light, but in dimmer light it appears as brass with olive green undertones. The polish drys fairly fast, which I was pleased with.

Wear: After 3 days, the tips started to wear a bit. After 5 days, the edges started to wear. After 6 days, I got my first chip at the base of the nail.

Overall, I like it. It’s a nice color, goes on well, stays on well, and drys fast.

Would I buy it again? Definitely. I’m already thinking of buying some more colors of this same brand. And for $2.80? That’s pretty reasonable, especially for the nice quality.
