Fashion Friday: Greek Goddesses, Hera & Athena

A long while ago on my blog I had a series of fashion posts playing off various goddesses and what they stand for represent and how I think clothes would reflect that goddess. These have been sitting in my drafts folder for a while, so I thought I would put them together and post them so you can all see.

Short and sweet, Hera as she is the goddess of marriage, childbirth and women. I chose the maternity dress to represent childbirth, the earrings to represent marriage (the wings of an insect meaning ‘change’ to me) and the accessories all represent woman.


Short and sweet again, Athena is the goddess of wisdom, warfare and reason. To represent that, I though of an outfit for someone like a lawyer. The red shoes represents warfare.

  1. What a fun idea! I love Greek mythology. Your choices are great. I can picture Athena wearing some black combat boots, though.
