A message from Zoe, one of the founders of 4 All Humanity:

“Our purpose and end goal for 4 All Humanity is for it to become a fair trade lifestyle brand. In the world of fair trade most people buy for others as gifts or at special occasions. Most of us do not associate a fair trade company or brand with our wardrobe or “look”. We want to break this. In order for ethically sourced or fair trade to become a staple in apparel company’s supply chains (take deep roots & dramatically change the world), it has to be more than just knickknacks and the occasional gift – it has to be something consumers associate with, want to look like or be like.”

I chose to review the Sunbeam Necklace pictured above. I was very excited to review this necklace and to work with this company for a couple reasons. Firstly, how pretty is that necklace? When I saw it, I knew that I had to review it. 4 All Humanity offers a range of products from jewelry to handbags and even some clothing.

You can read about the Sunbeam Necklace below. Zoe, the founder, wrote this about the necklace:

4 all humanity sunbeam necklace close up maegal“The Sunbeam necklace is handcrafted in India. It is created in a women’s cooperative, so by giving women employment we are also giving them economic empowerment. When women are empowered they invest in the lives of their children and give back to their communities. By investing back into people and communities these women are creating a better future for themselves and their children. The rays of sun are bone from waterbuffaloes. These buffaloes have died of natural causes. (I myself am a vegetarian and have to make 100% sure that our materials do not hurt people or animals).”

Overall, I’m quite pleased with the necklaced and glad that in getting a great new piece of jewelry to wear, I’ve also helped support a good cause and help empower women. This necklace is well made is certainly feels like it will last for many years to come. I love knowing it’s handmade and therefore each piece is a little bit unique.
