In order to give my little mustache cookie cutters a go, I decided to make sugar cookies from a recipe I knew. Now, the original dough for those cookies was a bit soft and not conducive to cookie cutters, so I had to add a bit more flour, which mad the cookies ever so lightly dough-y. Of course the minute the cookies were done I realized that the cookie cutters actually came with a perfect recipe on the back of the package! Heavens. Next time I’m in the mood to make cookies, I’ll have to give that recipe a try, as I imagine it will be much better for using with cookie cutters.
Clock-wise: the last of the dough being cooked in round form, the uncooked mustache shaped cookies, the finished and cookie mustache cookies.
All in all, I was quite pleased with these cookie cutters and look forward to using them again. The cutters are well made and should hold up for quite some time. Mustaches are great fun, cookies taste delicious, and $5 from every purchase goes to the Movember Foundation! There is no downside.
