Fashion Friday: Creating a Fashion Shoot Book

blurb six step fashion book |

At this rate, it seems like I should just assign a day of the week to share with you all posts from Blurb. Blurb is always coming out with new products, or new ways to use existing services and products they have. This week I’ll be sharing with you all how you can create your very own fashion book and photoshoot! How cool is that? Continue on to see the six simple steps to take to make your fashion book outlined above in detail.

Here are the six steps that Blurb provides for how to make a fashion book. Below, I’ve outlined the steps in more detail.

Step 1.

Create the right lighting environment to get your fashion pictures looks their best. You can create a diffused light by placing a white t-shirt over a lamp. Natural lighting is alway the best if you can do it!

Step 2.

Decide what you’re going to have your model wear (where it’s a friend, yourself or someone else). Make sure you have all the clothes, accessories and props you need for your photoshoot ready to go.

Step 3.

Make sure you have your cameras white balance adjusted to suit the lighting of the room, skintone of your model, and look you want to go for.

Step 4.

Be sure to adjust all your cameras settings and play with the zoom feature to get different angles to the pictures.

Step 5.

Have fun! Make the experience enjoyable for your, your friend or whoever else you’ve involved in the fun. Play music, eat treats, have a blast.

Step 6.

Now that you have your photographs, it’s time to make your book. Choose paper size, font, and design to suit the style of your fashion shoot and the feel you’re going for.
