Tasty Tuesday: Cookies in a Jar — Gift Idea

For Christmas this year, I made little Cookies in a Jar gifts for my friends and family. I found a recipe online and found it would work for me. I finished off the jar by decorating it seasonally with random gold tinsel and a red snowflake. Continue on to see more pictures and get the recipe yourself.

I got the idea for this recipe from SomethingTurquoise. I had purposely purchased smaller than average jars because I wanted a smaller serving of cookies. I was searching around online for a recipe that would fit the smaller jars. I stumbled across this recipe from Something Turquoise, and it’s worked well for me!

Here is a lovely little shot of the line up of ingredients. I chose to do a basic Chocolate Chip Cookie, but you could switch it up and use any chocolate candy. Perhaps some colored M&M’s for various holidays or color themes?

I decorated my jars with these fun sparkly, red snowflakes that I came across at Wal-Mart.  You could add a bow, ribbon, little charm of some kind, or so forth.

SomethingTurquoise printed all their labels, which gave a much nicer and more professional look. I went for  handwritten labels because, well, I’m somewhat lazy. But it’s more personal!

Yum, yum! They make some mighty delicious cookies.

I just had to make myself a batch, and I have to say they were quite tasty. Two of the people I gave them too also gave me feedback and said they enjoyed their cookies!
