Tasty Tuesday: Easter Eggs — Dyed and Deviled

Tasty Tuesday: Easter Eggs, Dyed and Deviled | maegal.blogspot.com

Sunday being Easter and all, I decided that I really need to dye some eggs for fun. I also tried my hand at making cute little chick deviled eggs, but I made the filling too runny and the experiment failed epically. Continue on to see my dyed and decorated eggs, and my failed attempt at cute chick deviled eggs!

Exhibit A.

My little dyed and decorated eggs. The back row features my favorite three. I’m particularly a fan of the patterns I chose for a more classic egg looks, and I like my little inverted daisy.

Exhibit B.

A different look at the eggs. All I used to decorate these eggs were crayons and dye (1/2 cup boiling water, 1 teaspoon vinegar and a little of my food coloring).

Exhibit C.

Then I tried my hand at making these cute little chick deviled eggs I saw a couple places around the internet. However, I put too much mayo in my filling and the little chicks just looked all sloppy and tragic.

Exhibit D.

I thought I would still share my tragic attempt with you, because the idea is very cool, my execution was just very failed. But also rather entertaining, if I do say so myself. Poor little chicks.

I’m not a religious person, but I do like to be with my family to celebrate a holiday, get together, eat and have fun.
