A couple weeks ago I posted a recipe for Cake Batter Fudge using funfetti cake mix. This time I decided to make the recipe again, but I decided to use a super chocolate-y cake mix and I also substituted some of the powdered sugar for some cocoa powder. This week I thought I would share with you some pictures from that little experiment.
You can view the first cake batter fudge I made here. The recipe can also be found at this link. (I’m currently preparing this post on my phone, as I’m almost ready to start work. These next couple weeks going to be a little weird, with very short and not so well written posts.)
This is how the batter looks before it goes into the microwave. You do not mix it all together, and the butter is cubed and placed on top of the mix.
After taking out of the microwave, you promptly and sit and then place it in a container to put in the fridge/freezer for a couple of hours.
I used this cocoa mix as part of my substitution for the powdered sugar, and to make it more chocolatey and less sugary.
This is the cake mix I use this time. I liked that it was super chocolatey and had a fudge base.
Yum, yum! =)
