For review, I was sent a small compact of Ageless Derma’s Camoufleur Concealer in the shade Fair. While I don’t wear a lot of makeup, mascara and concealer are my two most used items. Ageless Derma offers a variety of skincare and mineral makeup products, all made with ingredients and properties to help fight the signs of aging. Continue on to read my review…
I was excited to try out this concealer because I’m always willing to give a new concealer a try to see how it works for me and my skin. This concealer has a nice creamy, smooth consistency and doesn’t appear to be too orange (a problem I often seem to have with concealer). The tone is appropriate for my skin color, at least while I still have a very slight summer glow.
As for it’s application of this concealer, I like it. I found that this concealer applies nicely with either your finger (my prefered method) or with a small concealer brush. A little certainly goes a long way, which is quite nice. The first time I tried it out I used too much and it made the concealer obvious and discolored. With this concealer, just a small amount does the trick.
The coverage was a light to medium one. It nicely concealer the redness around my nose, lighten up my dark circles somewhat, and help to conceal an unfortunate zit that is taking up residence on my face currently. While this isn’t what I could consider a super thick and full coverage concealer, it’s just what I need. I like concealer that are a bit less thick in coverage, as it makes for better blending.
Overall, I have been pleased with this concealer. If it set it with a powder, it seems to stay put for sometime. I haven’t tried any high end concealers to compare this to, but it is a step above all the drugstore concealers I’ve tried in the past. I quite like this concealer and would consider purchasing it again, as well as perhaps some other mineral makeup products from Ageless Derma.
