For review, I was sent Bar Brat Ice Ice Ball Maker*. I’ve seen ice ball makers before and have been really interested in trying one out myself. The Bar Brat Ice Ball Maker is made of black silicone and features four cells to create four ice balls. I found this easy to use and fun!
I like the sleek, black design of the tray/ ice ball maker itself. The size of the balls is perfect for most glasses and wide-mouthed bottles. And I don’t know if it’s real, but it certainly seems like it takes longer for these ice balls to melt as compared to ice cubes. It’s nice for alcoholic or other drinks you don’t want to be watered down, I suppose that’s why they’re geared towards that niche. But they would also be fun for kids!
I first decided to give this ice ball maker a try by using cranberry juice. I thought I’d mix it up a bit by also adding some fruit to the ice balls. I added slices of grape to one, strawberries to another and blue berries to two ice balls. I’m looking forward to doing this later on in the summer, too!
Here they are! The frozen ice balls, on display in a glass for your viewing pleasures.
Overall, I like this ice ball maker quite a bit. I’m currently in the process of making ice balls and then putting them into a ziplock in the freezer. I’m hoarding ice balls for this summer. Ice balls would be great for parties for adults, kids, anyone! Next I’m going to try making some colored ice balls.
