For review, I was sent the Legend Paracord Survival Bracelet* with built in whistle (it’s that little black nubin on the clip/clasp). I’ve heard about paracord bracelets before and have always wanted to try one out. They’re ideal for hiking, camping, or those who spend a lot of times outdoors. And this bracelet serves a practical purpose while being stylish.
What is a Paracord Bracelet? The short version- Paracord is a lightweight, very strong string (originally from parachute cords, hence the name paracord). A paracord bracelet is a woven bracelet made from a long string of paracord. Each string of paracord is also made up of tens of smaller strings within it (I’ve seen survivalists use the smallest strings to make fishing nets, etc.).
The picture above shows the built in whistle (which is probably my favorite feature) as well as the detail of the plastic clasp and the cord itself. I thought about breaking into the paracord so you could see the details and then illustrate the strength on this cord, but I didn’t want to destroy the bracelet until I need it! I’m sure there are plenty of places to find this information online if you wanted to know.
As you can (hopefully) tell from the picture below, this bracelet is a bit too big for me. One size fits most, and apparently not me this time. I’ve remedied this problem by deciding to give this to my Dad for a Father’s Day gift! He’s a very outdoors-y type, frequently hiking and camping. This bracelet would be ideal for him for wearing often, or throwing in his hiking pack for when he’s out and about.
Overall, I like this paracord bracelet, specifically with it’s whistle feature. I’m excited to give this to my Dad as a Father’s Day gift, I think he’s really going to enjoy it. I would recommend this bracelet to anyone who is interested in hiking, camping and other outdoor activities. Or buy it as a gift for someone who fits that description!
