For review, I was sent a spray bottle of Eco Defense Pest Repeller*. This repeller works for all your pests such as deer, rats, raccoon and many more. This product is made from organic, natural ingredients that make is safe to use around pets and children. Made from mostly caster oil, this product keeps pests away from your spaces.

I was interested in trying out this product for a couple of the pests we encounter here in the country, but primarily I wanted to try it against the rats. We usually don’t have much of a rat problem, but every couple years they try to come into the garage. This year they avoided the garage thankfully, but they found that the chicken coop has a lovely egg buffet. Get away from our eggs, rats!

We also, being in the country, have a nice deer population that comes through our yard from time to time, eating our garden and fruit trees. Luckily, we haven’t had too many deer this year. The fence around the garden prevents them from eating our veggies, but the fruit trees are still out in the open.

Unfortunately, or fortunately?, I wasn’t able to test the effectiveness of this product because the rats went away eventually after my Mother fought with them with poison and peppermint oil, and the deer seem to be leaving the fruit trees alone so far. However, I’m still spraying our fruit trees. I figure it can’t hurt, and I’d rather risk the spray doing nothing that have it sitting in the house while a deer eats the tree. Prevention is how this product will be used for our yard this summer!

Overall, I like this spray. While I cannot vouch for it’s effectiveness, I can speak for the ingredients and the ease of use. I like that the ingredients are organic and non-toxic. The spray bottle was easy to use to apply to product to the fruit trees. And I like the there is no scent to this product at all!
