For review, I was sent a bottle of Nutrabear Vitamin D3 Supplements. One serving (two gummies) contains 200% of your daily Vitamin D needs in delicious cherry and peach flavors. These gummies are gluten free and gelatin free. Each bottle comes with 120 gummies, which equates to about two months worth of supplements.
While it’s currently summer and I’m getting a fair amount of Vitamin D naturally, I’ll be needing these come winter. But as a shade dweller, even in the sunny, summer months can always use extra vitamin D. And these vitamins aren’t hard to remember to take, being delicious and all. I like the fruity flavors, and particularly the lack of citrus flavors that may gummy supplements like to use.
My one complaint is that the amount of sugar used to make these tasty equates to 60 calories per servings. That seems a bit high to me for just two gummy bears. I’d also have liked to see the bears being a bit more bear shaped, but I’m not picky on that.
Overall, I like these Nutrabear vitamins and will certainly continue eating them daily until they’re all gone. I’d like it these were multi-vitamins, but I can get those elsewhere and get my daily recommended Vitamin D from these. If you were expecting “gummy” bears, you might be disappointed. They’re certainly not super gummy, but I prefer that.

For review, I was sent a set of 4 Phantom Fit Resistance Loop Bands.* This set comes with four different bands, of four different strengths (light, medium, heavy, and x-heavy). These bands are flexible, durable and come with a carrying case. You can use one band at a time, or use more than one to make a custom strength just for you. Perfect for fitness and exercise, or physical therapy needs.
I was interested in trying out these resistance bands for myself because 1) I don’t currently own any nor have I ever, 2) I’m still trying to find little ways to encourage exercise in myself, and 3) I thought there would be perfect spur-of-the-moment fitness items, as they’re small enough to sit at my desk.
As I’ve never really used resistance bands before, I didn’t have anything to compare these to. I can only vouch for my experience with them, which has been good overall! I found that the different strength were perfect. The light weight one is great for building up my leg strength when used at my ankles, while the heavy band is great for working on my arm strength. I’ve been finding, as well as reading about, all sort of different methods for using this bands and building arm strength.
The one small complaint I have is that the black carrying case these bands come with is a tad small. It’s not particularly easy to get the bands into the carrying case, at least without them being all shoved in haphazardly. (Which is every so bothersome to someone like me with slight OCD tendencies.)
Overall, I like these Phantom Fit Resistance Loops Bands. I will continue to use them, as I have them sitting at my desk right in eyesight so I can’t forget about them! I like that they’re small come in varied strengths. Perfect if you’re in the market for some strength training gear, or physical therapy items (my grandmother has a similar set in weaker strengths to try and keep her strength present).

For review, I was sent the Limm Jump Rope*. I have been trying to slowly nudge myself back into exercising and I thought that things jump rope would be a good way to get myself back into doing some cardio activity. And so far, it’s kind of working!
This jump rope is designed for fitness, things like Crossfit, rather than the jump rope in gym class. The rope comes fairly long, and the back of the packaging explains how to cut it to the right size for you. I thought I could keep it longer than suggested and just stuff the extra into the hollows of the handle, but that makes the rope tangle too easily when jumping with it.
Here is a rough review of the Limm Jump Rope on my YouTube channel.
Overall, I like the Limm Jump Rope. I like that it’s encouraging me to get a bit more exercise (though I’m already slacking!). I like the colors of this jump rope (but don’t leave it in the sun, mine it now a bit orange from sun bleaching!). The handles are comfortable enough to jump for quite some time.

For review, I was sent a box of AloeCure® Pure Aloe Extract. I’ve been hearing more and more about drinking aloe lately for help neutralizing the acid in one’s stomach, so I thought I would give this product a try. I have previously tried other brands and wanted to see how this one might compare. As the bottle states, it serves as an acid buffer to balance your stomach’s acidity levels. AloeCure® is certified organic by ECOCERT.
I first tried another brand of aloe juice when I my Mom was experiencing stomach pain and upset that, at the time, she believed as due to acid reflux. We have since learned that she has gallbladder stones and will have to have surgery to remove her gallbladder here in another month. But until that was figured out, she and I both were quite happy to discover aloe juice.
I decided to give the aloe juice a try when I was experiencing stomach pain, as well. Lately my anxiety issues have gotten to be a bit more than I’m typically prepared for. Anxiety for me often comes with physical symptoms, the most common being nausea. This is usually caused, at least so far as I can tell, but not being able to eat and getting too much acid built up in my stomach, which in turn makes me nauseous. I found that AloeCure® helps when this happens by almost instantly relieving the burning sensation.
Overall, I’m pleased with this particular aloe juice from AloeCure®. I like that it has helped me and my Mom with different problems that had the same symptom. I like that this product is certified organic and contains 99.7% aloe extract, so you aren’t paying for water. I like the natural flavor of this particular bottle, but if you aren’t a fan, AloeCure® does offer a grape flavor. Additionally, it has a pretty long shelf life, so I plan on getting these guys around for days when a little acid buffer would be useful. I would recommend this product to anyone experiencing upset from too much acid in their stomach’s.
For review, I was sent a bottle of Majestic Pure Lemon Oil. I haven’t used lemon oil before, so I was excited to review it as well as to read up on the various health and other uses for it. I’m enjoying getting more into the essential oil world. Continue on to read my review and learn some common uses for lemon oil.
5 Common Uses for Lemon Oil
1. General Cleanser
2. Bug Repellant
3. Furniture Polish
5. Afternoon Pick-Me-Up
I’ve been loving my newest book collection addition! Here’s what the book The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy* book has to say about lemon essential oil:
“When are adventurous seafaring ancestors sailed the high seas, fresh lemons saved them from getting scurvy. For modern stay at homes, the essential oil of lemon is just as useful as a water purifier. This antiseptic and antibacterial oil will perform any tasks when used in glens, including treating verrucas, insect bites, and tension headaches. It has a tonic action on the lymphatic system and a stimulating action on the digestive system. It will assist you to slim, help disperse cellulite, and keep wrinkles at bay. It’s contribution to synergy makes it particularly useful in blends, while it is indispensable as a fragrancing and flavoring agent.”
What Have I Used It For?
I haven’t used this oil for much yet, but I have used it in my essential oil diffuser along with my lavender. I enjoy the scent combination of lemon and lavender. Additionally, I used a couple drops in the toilet last time I gave it a little scrub, and the scent is certainly more pleasant than generic toilet smell.
Overall, I’m pleased with the lemon oil. I don’t particularly have anything to base this opinion on, as I haven’t tried other brands on lemon oil, but I have no complaints! I’ve been pleased with both this oil and the Majestic Pure company.
I additionally review Majestic Pure’s Peppermint Oil, but that post is currently stuck in limbo! Through my transition from my old host to my new host for this here website, that one post was published after I moved my posts but before I was publishing on this new URL, so it’s lost somewhere in limbo. Once I sort out a couple behind-the-scenes problems, I’ll link to that post here. …anyone with experience in WordPress to Blogger migration and HostGator care to lend a hand? 🙂
For review, I was sent a coupon to try out a bag of Rader Farms’ Fresh Start Breakfast Smoothie Mix. This product comes in three different flavor combinations, all containing a mixture of fruits, berries and leafy greens. This mixture is great for smoothies and more! For review, I was went a pair of Syono Gel Insoles for Shoes. These insoles comes larger than needed so they can be cut down to size for any favorite shoes you may have. The shoes have a soft fabric over a nice, gel base that’s extra comfortable on the pressure points of your feet. Continue on to read my review…
While most of my day is spent sitting at the desk at my office or my desk at home, I do have do some walking still. I thought about putting these insoles in a pair of heeled boots I have, but it seemed a bit too hard for me to get the insoles in place (given the long legs of the boots).
Instead, I decided to put the insoles in a pair of flats I’ve had for a while. They never had much of an insole to begin with, but over time they have become very thin. In fact, I once stepped on a sharp rock and it poked right through the sole of my flat and stabbed me! Hence, it must be time to have a thicker, more comfortable sole.
Above is an image of the back of the insoles packaging, for your reading pleasure. These insoles, as you can read, are designed not only for the comfort of your fees, but also to help align your body for reduced stress in your knees and lower body.
Overall, I’m pleased with this insoles. I don’t have much to compare them too as I’ve never used insoles, but I had a pleasant first experience with them. I was able to easily cut them down to size to place them in my flats. I’ve only worn those shoes once since adding the insoles (so many rainy, boot days!). However, my feet were comfortable and happy the day I did wear them.
For review, I was sent this Form-Fit Pillow, made from buckwheat hulls and soft foam. These pillows are non-allergenic, breathable and shapeable, and made from ingredients in North America. These pillows come over stuffed, so you can remove the excess to add back to your pillow as it gets less fluffy. Continue on to read my review and see more detailed pictures…
Well, there it is, the Form-Fit Pillow. As mentioned above, it arrived overstuffed by 1/4 to 1/2, depending on your sleeping habits and how much they recommend you remove. The above picture is pre-pillow case, so you can get an idea of the pillow itself. We all know what pillowcases look like.
I was excited to review this pillow because 1) my current pillow is a tragic pancake of a thing, and 2) I’ve been meaning to get a pillow that offers more neck and therefore back support while I sleep. I was a bit hesitant, however. I have tried similar pillows before but the sound of the hulls moving around would always keep me awake. The Form-Fit pillow solves this problem for me with its 10% foam! It’s just enough to keep the hulls from moving around and creating noise.
I had been sleeping with this pillow for several nights before I went to visit my boyfriend, and I’ve missed this pillow! It’s working out quite well for me. I’m a side sleeper, so they recommended I removed about 1/4 of the filling. After using this pillow and knowing my preferences, I’m liking to refill the pillow to its overstuffed self. I suppose that might put my neck more out of alignment, but I’ll have to experiment.
Overall, I like this pillow. It’s probably not for everyone, but if you’re in the market for a pillow, do give it a try and see if it’s right for you. I know people who love and only use these types of pillows. I’ll be curious to see if I buy this pillow or a regular one when the time arrives. Until them, I’m quite content!
For review, I was sent a small spray bottle of OraMD Breath. I’ve previously reviewed and loved OraMD Liquid Toothpaste and Mouthwash so I wanted to give their breath spray a try. Continue on to read my review…
This OraMD Breath spray appears to be the same as the OraMD Toothpaste and Mouthwash, however this bottle comes with a spray top versus a dropper top. The spray bottle allows you to spray a single ‘dose’ into your mouth to freshen up your breath.
As for the ingredients, that’s most of what draws me to OraMD products: they only contain natural, botanical oils of 100% Peppermint, Almond, and Spearmint.
You can also you the OraMD Toothpaste and Mouthwash as a breath freshener, but I like that this OraMD Breath comes in a convenient travel/ purse size with a spray top. It fits perfectly in my small purse for on the go use and freshness.
Overall, I like this product quite a bit. I continue to use my OraMD Toothpaste when I travel, and I’m pleased to find that this OraMD Breath is equally as nice of a product. I actually might keep it at my desk at work. I have coffee every morning at my desk, and then I’m left with coffee breath all day. This would fix that problem!
